Dr. Mendez was born and raised in the small town of Jatibonico, Cuba and moved to the states during high school. After starting her orthodontic treatment in the fourth grade, she became curious about the field of dentistry. She wanted to help others have healthy teeth and be confident in their smile, just like her dentist did.

Dr. Mendez attended the Honors College at Miami Dade College and then transferred to Cornell University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences. Afterwards, she attended the University of Florida College of Dentistry in Gainesville, Florida, and was able to fulfill her childhood dream of becoming a dentist. She then continued her education and training by completing the prestigious University of Florida Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency in St. Petersburg, FL. Dr. Mendez enjoys multiple facets of dentistry, from esthetics to surgery. She has furthered her skills by participating in continuing education courses such as the Dawson Academy and Implant Educators Continuum.

Dr. Mendez has committed from day one to serving the community. As such, she has volunteered countless hours with organizations such as Caring for Miami, Free D.O.M. Clinic, and Mission of Mercy.

Dr. Mendez deeply cares about her patients and her goal is to provide a relaxing, positive experience every time they come to the office. She strives for excellence during every procedure and sets high standards for herself. In her free time, she likes to spend time with her parents, brother, fiancé, and her Golden Retriever Tarzan.
